Thank You Dunder Mifflin.

Last night...was so intense. I laughed, I cried, I gasped...It seems so silly that all of this was just over one tv show. But this tv show was my favorite show, of any show I've ever seen...and you know what, that's not an exaggeration, because it's true. The Office is a show that I can watch over and over again. Those characters were there for me when I needed to laugh. Jim and Pam's marriage was one of the best examples I could've had. Michael was like a best friend that I loved, even with all of his many annoying habits. Dwight...well Dwight was the best, because he was a true friend. Even with all of the pranks that Jim threw at him and the hard exterior, he really loved his co workers. I almost feel silly saying this, because it was just a tv show to some people, but to me...last night was like saying goodbye to an old friend. I won't apologize for loving it.

So...with all of that being said, here are some (there is no way I could fit them all in...that's what she said) of my favorite moments from the office. They aren't in order or anything. (This will be a long post...So yeah.) Also, if you haven't seen last night's episode, there are spoilers ahead.

Holly was so perfect for Michael!

How could you not love this moment!

I love Dwight.

Everything about  the"Goodbye, Michael" Episode was perfect.
Cried here too.

It's weird that I put this one on here, because I hated that moment so much, but at the same time I loved it. I was crying with Pam because it felt so real...Couples fight, and it was nice to know that Jim and Pam weren't perfect.

Classic. "He put my stuff in jello again!"

Ryan started the fire!

There are no words to describe how happy I was.

"So, from time to time, I send Dwight faxes from himself from the future." - Jim

Prison Mike.

I know all the words to this "rap". Sorry not sorry.

"Satchel" Definitely one of the best openings. It totally describes Stanley!

This was...just..perfect.
I was so happy to see Michael I literally started crying. Also because everyone said he wouldn't be there.
This was such a Michael thing to say. I loved it.

Work bus was probably one of the best episodes from Season 9
And of course, My all time favorite prank.

Thank you, for everything.

Hair

Stages of my hair. It's finally growing out!

before haircut (summer 2011)      after haircut (oct 2011)         growing it out some (may 2012)          now (feb 2013)

It has grown so much, and I'm so happy. I try to keep it healthy by not washing it everyday, not using heat on it too often, and sleeping on a satin pillowcase (since I switched my hair has less breakage). I also use a wide toothed comb to brush it when wet, it keeps my hair from breaking.

Spring Break...Please come sooner

Oh spring break...You are only a couple days away, yet today you seem further than ever. I feel like I am at a standstill with school. I go, but I'm just...bleh. I don't even really have the motivation to go to my pilates class anymore. I used to LOVE that class, because I felt like I was making changes with my body and I felt healthier overall. Now I've gotten back into the habit of late night ice cream. It's not necessarily a bad thing, and I'm not looking to lose weight, I just like feeling healthy. But this week has been nice, the weather has been beautiful, and hopefully that means that spring break will be awesome.

On another not so lovely note, Chauncey's car has kind of...died. We are really sad about it, especially since we just bought my car six months ago. We are also sad about it because we can't really afford to pay what we paid on my car. We bought that car when I was still working, and now I'm just focusing on school. And I know Chauncey is sad about it because, well let's be honest, he's in love with his car. It has been very loyal to us. We knew it happen would be soon, just not this soon. So hopefully we will find a car that is in our budget, and that will last another while. At least until I'm done with school or something. So wish us luck in that department.

As you can see, my week has not gotten off to a very good start, but hopefully spring break will rejuvenate me and I can find joy in school again.

Until next time...

habits

so i've been trying to write in this blog more. i consider it like my journal, because i really really dislike actually writing in a journal. i should, i know i should try to write in an actual journal for my prosperity and all that jazz, but it's hard. so for now, this is my journal. i guess i could print it all out and call it a journal right? yeah...let's just do that.

so anyways, yesterday i had this great post planned out.....and it got deleted. it was about establishing good habits in the home. to sum it up, chauncey and i recently started making habits to better ourselves as future parents and to be better people in general. some of the habits we've established are simple things that we should've been doing all along, but life happens.so here they are:
  •  reading the scriptures every night. we just started reading the BOM last year, and it is awesome, seriously. our marriage is stronger, there is less contention in our home and we are happier. (don't get me wrong, things were fine before that, but reading the book of mormon really made a huge difference.)
  • having FHE every week. sometimes it seems hard to do FHE with just the two of us, but we figure that if we start now, then it will be easier to do when we expand our family. it is also nice because it invites the Spirit even more into our homes, and our lives.
so far, with just doing those two things habitually, we have become so much happier. and we were already extremely happy! it has been wonderful :) i'm so grateful for chauncey, i tell him that every chance i get. but he has been so good at making sure we continue with these things, especially reading scriptures. we are over halfway through with the BOM and we have learned so much. i know that by doing these things we are becoming more and more prepared to bring little bundles of joy into the world. and i cannot wait for that day :)

p.s. i cannot believe i've been married for TWO years to this awesome guy. time flies, but we are having a great time and i can't wait to see what these next two years will bring.

Keeping up with Jenni and Chauncey

so this post was going to be called "Keeping Up With The Berholds"...but let's be real, i did not want anyone to think of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" when they read that title. just saying. anyways, sorry for not writing in so long. life hasn't been all that busy, but the blogging world wasn't really calling my name and i didn't have much to say. lately we have been just going to school (chauncey goes to classes on electrical engineering to see if he wants to pursue a master's degree in that field) and of course i'm going for my education degree. i don't work at red robin anymore, i quit because i wanted to focus more on school. chauncey is still working at L-3 communications, and even has a mentor! (in all honesty, its a bromance. chauncey comes home and tells me all these exciting conversations he had with his "mentor"). i think it's great, he's learning a lot from this dude.

as many of you might know, chauncey and i have been serving in the primary for over a year. i absolutely love it. recently i was called to be first counselor in the primary presidency! i was kind of surprised, but not at the same time. it is my first "big" calling, so i am still learning. but it is fun, and i love being apart of primary. those kids are so great, and i learn from them all the time.

anyways, i should get going. but here are some of my favorite pictures from the past few months. expect another post soon about establishing good habits in the home.

(they aren't' exactly in order.)

"Thank goodness for good tippers"

This is something I say pretty much every day I work. I always have a few excellent tippers, and a few bad ones. Sometimes I can see why they left me the tip they did, and sometimes I replay the experience in my mind and am baffled that people would even tip so low when I did nothing wrong. Anyways, thank goodness for good tippers.

So on that note, the job is going pretty well. There are still things I can improve on, but for the most part I think I'm doing alright. I also started school this week. It'll be a pretty chill semester, just taking spanish and yoga. Then next semester I'll be busy busy busy with school and work.

Chauncey really enjoys his job so far. Today he got to lead a meeting by himself. He said it was kind of exciting to have that responsibility. Also, he decided to grow his beard out. *Sarcastic voice* yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy *end sarcastic voice*. I guess I don't mind beards, its just the prickliness while kissing that I don't like. Sorry if that was TMI. Anyways, we will see how that works. Last October he grew his beard out for our Halloween costume (see below)

Can you believe how short my hair was then compared to now!? I'm so glad its growing, now its past my shoulder blades.

So yeah, we'll see how that goes. Chauncey's birthday is also coming up! Next tuesday! We are going to Vegas this weekend to celebrate. Party time, yo!

"Hi, my name is Jenni and I'll be your server today."

Well, if you read my last post you know that I am currently training to be a server at Red Robin. I was really nervous at first, but I think i'm doing pretty okay so far. Yesterday was my first actual day training. I mainly followed one of the other servers and ran drinks. I learned how to put orders in the computer and how to do checks. It was kind of nerve racking, but everyone was really helpful (that is one thing I have always loved about our location, everyone helps everyone out and they are willing to do so) which made my first day really easy. It also helped that i have worked there for half a year, so everyone knows and likes me which means they are willing to help me out more and answer my questions.
Today I trained with a different server than yesterday, and I ended up taking a good portion of the tables by myself. We even had a party table of 9 people and I took half by myself while one of the other servers took the other half (we are not allowed to take party tables that are more than 8 people by ourselves, if it's more than 8 there has to be 2 servers on it.) I was really nervous when my trainer told me I would be taking half of it but I'm grateful she had me do that because it helped me get used to the pressure of having multiple tables at once and keeping on top of everything.
Hopefully tomorrow I will do a little better, my trainer said I did really good but I still noticed things that I needed to work on. Friday I gem (which just means that I will take tables all by myself and a manager will be watching me to make sure I do everything right) Then next week I will be able to serve all by myself! I am super excited and so grateful for this new work opportunity. I have been wanting to be a server since I started working there, but I had to wait until I was 21 to do so, so this feels like it has been a long time coming (even though it has really only  been like 7 months.) Anyways, thanks for reading, and if you're ever in the SLC area come visit me at Red Robin!
