Baby it's cold outside.

I have a lot to write about. It's been a crazy couple of weeks! Chauncey and I were able to get a lot done for the wedding, which was nice because I think we were both stressing out a lot. We had the HARDEST time finding a cultural hall that would work with the decorator, but we finally found one this past week! I was so grateful because we had to get our invitations printed out so we could send them out in time, but we finally got it done so all is well. We also registered at Target and Bed Bath &Beyond. I found target a lot more fun to register at, I rode in the cart while Chauncey pushed me around and we just scanned whatever we felt like we needed. At Bed Bath & Beyond they didn't have carts and their scanner was weird and hard to figure out, but they did have way cool stuff. I registered for a red Kitchen-aide at both places and i'm REALLY hoping I get one. That would be so nice, that way i could make homemade bread a lot easier.
We were also able to get our Christmas shopping done, which was good because I was worried about finding gifts that everyone would like. It's a little different when your engaged, we're kinda playing Christmas out like we are already married, his family invited me over to spend the night on Christmas Eve and then open presents with them Christmas Morning. Afterwards, Chauncey and I will go to my parents house and open presents with them. My family doesn't start Christmas until One on the 25th because we don't get our Step Brothers until then. So it all worked out. Anyways, last weekend Chauncey and I went to Temple sq for our date to see the lights, we even got to see the MoTab Christmas concert!! It was magical! I'm not a fan of David Archuleta but it was still really really good. We also started decorating what will be our home! It was great, he lives in his grandparents basement, so it's like an apartment. We cleaned, hung pictures and moved stuff around, it's really starting to look like our own home. I love it! Chauncey also had an interview for an internship yesterday! We are all hoping that he will get it, it'll be a great opportunity if he does. After his interview I took him strait to the airport so he could fly home to Vegas. I don't leave til tomorrow, so I really miss him, but it won't e long until I get to see him, my family and my family-to-be! I can't wait :)

Merry Christmas!

Here are some pictures from our date :)

Give Thanks.

Well, last week we went to Vegas for Thanksgiving. I was really really really grateful that Chauncey's parents paid for both of us to fly down. They are so awesome. It was really fun to see my family, I've been missing them so much. It was also cool because I got to see Clay's parents, and his sister. Which was pretty fun. So first Chauncey came over to my house and we had the first dinner of the day. After a couple hours, we headed to his house and had a second dinner. To say the least, it was very very filling. That was a lot of food for one day. It was cool, because during dinner we talked a little about the temple. I had an epiphany during this, I realized that in two months, a little less actually, I'll be going through the temple for the first time. It's a big deal. So I want to be ready. It was really nice to think about going through the Temple...I won't go into it too much more, but it was a really really awesome epiphany. After we had our two dinners, we all went to Harry Potter. It was AWESOME. I loved it soooo much!! I can't wait until the second part comes out. I spent the night at Chauncey's parents house that night because the next morning we woke up early to get a tree. It was really fun to actually get a real tree. That night we decorated the tree. It was sad since Andrew wasn't there, but we all hung up his ornaments. So that was cool. I went back to my house that night, and I finally got to see Chase, I didn't get to see him at first since he was with Dad for thanksgiving. The next morning Chauncey and I met at the airport and flew home just in time to make it to the Utah VS Byu game. It was a really really intense game, but the U won, so it was all good. Then Chauncey and I went to Sushi to celebrate, then to a dollar movie. It was a good day. This weekend was really awesome, I was sad to see it end. Only a month left until I can see my family and soon to be family again though!! Wow, there is so much to be thankful for :)

Seventy-eight!

That's right! 78 days. I'm excited, but also nervous. We got our engagement pictures back, and they were pretty cute. Then I was able to finally start my invitations. The lady that is doing them is way awesome. We have sent proofs (drafts) back and forth to each other and she's really understanding. Anyways, we still have to figure out a place for a reception up here. No idea where we are going to have it. It's going to be a cultural hall, and we are having it professionally decorated. We just need to decide soon.
Anyways, everything is coming along nicely. This weekend we are going to go look at some hotels ;) wink wink...Just kidding. Anyways, we'll go look at hotels and hopefully cakes. Oh and of course get some Christmas shopping done. Fun times!

NOW...
I would like to talk about one of my bestest friends Megan McHenry!

Us, being our normal selves. :]

Anyways, I love this girl! We met at LDSBC winter semester and we've been inseparable since. She's been there for me when times get rough, we've grown spiritually together, and we've definitely had some laughs. I love how we can hang out for hours, and never run out of things to talk about (or laugh about!!). She has seen my relationship with Chauncey blossom. She has helped with homework. She's there for me when I need her, and I'm there for her. Sometimes we argue like sisters, but it's never for long. I know i can always vent to her, and she can always vent to me. I'm so glad I met you, Megan McHenry. Thanks for all you do!! <3

The Final Countdown

87 Days. When you put it like that it really doesn't seem like a whole lot of time. It's crazy how fast time flies, the first month of our engagement is already gone. It's a good thing we have dug into our wedding planning already. Two weekends ago Chauncey's family and My family came down for Halloween. His Mom, my Mom and I were able to get a lot done! We figured out bridesmaid dresses, invitations, tuxes for the guys and I even got a different wedding dress. Pretty crazy! It felt really good to get everything done. I should be getting the engagement pictures any day now so that'll be good too since it has been stressing me out. There's still a lot to do, but I think we will be able to get it done. I'm really nervous though...The date is starting to creep up on us all too quickly! I'm really grateful for our families though, without them I don't know if I would be able to get everything done.
Oh, and just a little side note, I'm loving Chauncey more each and every day. It's always been like that, but now I'm noticing the little things more. It's really nice :]

Now back to school work, only five weeks or so left in the semester!

Winter Already??

Well, it's that time of year again. Time for snow. It's not even Halloween yet. This UT weather is driving me nuts. oh well. At least snow is pretty, kind of. Anyways, enough complaining about this lame Utah weather.
Last weekend Chauncey and I went to a birthday/costume party for his friend Adam. We were going to be masquerade people but we didn't have the right outfit, so we had to think of something quick. Jokingly I suggested something that would play on our age difference (which is 6 and a half years.) My idea was a joke, I was not serious. Chauncey thought it was hilarious so we actually went through with it...Are you ready? We went as a pedifile and a little girl. It was pretty funny, Chauncey wore an old man's suit and a creepy mustache, and weird glasses. I wore a skirt from the girls section at target (it was actually a decent length) and knee high socks. To complete the look, i had put my hair in pig tails and he had candy to give me every so often. It was really funny and everyone got a kick out of it.
The next day, we took our engagement pictures, it was raining so we didn't do many outside, which made me sad. We started off at Garden Park Ward, which was gorgeous! But we only got like 15 pictures in, then it started raining and the photographer couldn't take any more pictures because the camera was focusing on the rain. So we went to the Capitol to try to finish the shoot. It's really pretty there, but the inside is all the same, and you can't really do any fun stuff because the setting is so serious. After we took about 20 ish pictures I asked myself if it had stopped raining. We went outside to check, and Hallelujah it wasn't raining anymore!! I was so happy, so we went to memory grove to finish the photo shoot. We got some really cute pictures in and I'm really excited to see them.
After we got our engagement pictures taken, we went to the U game. We were playing Colorado state. I had to get a friend's student ID because I didn't want to pay 20 bucks to get in. So as we are walking back from doing that, it started pouring. I only had a fleece hoodie, and Chauncey had on a long sleeve shirt under his Muss shirt. By the time we got back to the stadium we were soaked, and freezing. The first half of the game was miserable, we were both shaking because it was so cold. My feet hurt because my vans soaked up all the water and they were practically frozen. During half time Chauncey bought us hot chocolate. That was nice, it warmed me up. Another thing that helped was the fact that it stopped raining halfway through the second quarter. So that was good. The game itself was way fun, of course the U won. That was exciting. The score was 59-6. Poor Colorado state. They got crushed. The next home game is against TCU. It's going to be a close game.
I'm really excited for this weekend, my family and Chauncey's family will be coming into town! Yay! Wedding plans, Halloween and family time. It'll be way awesome :)
       I love my life :]

Fall Fun

Well, Last week was fall break for Chauncey. Lucky duck, I don't get a fall break. Want to know why?? Because BYU is lame and the schools affiliated with BYU (IE LDS Business College) don't get fall breaks. Stupid. Anyways, he had fall break, but still spent a fair amount of time at school. That weekend we decided to go to Vegas to see our families. It was a lot of fun. I really miss his sister, Brittany. We had become pretty close, then she moved back down to Vegas. So I spent the night there the first night we got there (Thursday) and we hung out and talked. It was a lot of fun, and nice to have some girl time. The next day Chauncey and I hung out and put together three Disney puzzles! It was fun. Then we had dinner with his family, his mom cut his hair, and he took me home to see my family. He stayed and visited with us then went back home. It was really good to see my family, I've missed them so much. Although this weekend was fun, it was also kind of stressful. The wedding planning is going great, there's just so much to do!! I'm really excited though, we picked out bridesmaids dresses for Brittany and Cassi (Chauncey's other sister) and Alyssa (my cousin). So that was good. Saturday was Cassi's birthday, so Chauncey and I went with her to the dew tour, that was a lot of fun. I forgot how much I miss motocross. I took so many pictures, and we got so much free stuff, or "swag" as Chauncey calls it. Overall, it was a good weekend. I was kind of sad to see it end though. I really wanted to spend more time in Vegas. I love spending time with my family, and my soon to be family.
On a side note, Chauncey and I are going to get our engagement pictures taken this coming Saturday. I'm really excited about that. It should be a lot of fun. After that we are going to the U game. Go Utes!! I love my Utes. We are dominating this season!
Anyways, I love my life, my friends, my family and my handsome fiancé!  :)

Engaged!

So I decided to start a blog. I figured "hey, everyone else is doing it. so I might as well." No, I didn't really think that, because I don't use that phrase ever in my life. Okay anyways, so this blog won't just be about me and Chauncey, though I suppose it will focus a lot on our engagement, considering that will planning the wedding will most likely be the most exciting thing I do in the next four months. So I'm pretty excited about marrying my best friend, just saying.
So this is how he asked me....
We went to temple sq for our Friday night date, and he had a roll of pennies, so we threw them into the reflection pool and made wishes out loud (this was actually something we said we would do on our first date, but never got around to it, so I was excited. And no, i was not expecting him to propose!) so we are making the wishes, most of them focusing on marriage. Once we got done with the roll of pennies he pulled out two gold dollars, he made his wish and said "I wish I can be everything you want and need me to be to enter into the celestial kingdom" then he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife, of course I cried and said yes. I was so happy! So then he gets up, and we hug and whatnot, then he turns me around and smiles really big, and says "K smile for the camera!" I was like, what? but there was this lady, taking pics and videotaping. She looked kinda weird with her black hair, so Chauncey goes, "do you know who that is?" I was like, "uh, no..." and he goes, "that's my mom!!" You can actually hear me say on the video, "No it's not!!" But yeah, it was his Mom, she had a wig on, his dad was even funnier, he had a mustache on that covered some of his mouth and went down to his chin, it was pretty funny. So yeah, we have it documented, which is nice.
So that was pretty much one of the best days ever.
I love my life :) and my fiancé!
