Found my new obsession...

I know I still need to post about my experience with Harry Potter, but I could not go without sharing this! Today, my new friend Ally (so happy I met her, she's so sweet!), mentioned a new website called pinterest on her Facebook status. I had some free time, so I thought I would check it out. I love it! It's so nifty, I especially like the DIY section, there are so many great ideas. In case you guys didn't know, I am obsessed with hair. (Sounds creepy, right? Just keep reading.) I once wanted to be a cosmetologist just so I could work with hair. I love to do new styles with my hair, and I love playing with other people's hair. It's so fun! So after discovering Pinterest, I found this other great, great website (through pinterest) called the beauty department! It has some GREAT ideas for hair and makeup, and has awesome tutorials.  Anyways, I was so ecstatic about all of the great things I found today, I thought I would share :) Hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do!

Happenings As Of Late.

Sorry for the absence, it has been so busy since Chauncey and I got married in February! Our wedding was magical of course, and we had a blast. Thank you EVERYONE who helped make it so great!

We went to San Clemente, CA for our honeymoon and we had a BLAST! It was a much needed vacation for us both. Chauncey had just finished a very tough semester at the U and I was getting stir-crazy after having a couple weeks off school. We had a cute little condo at a hotel, and it was only a short walk to the beach! We started off our week by taking a walk on the beach and checking out the boutique shops. We walked so much that day, it was ridiculous. We also ate at this AMAZING seafood restaurant right on the pier. They had great food and a great view, i loved it. Throughout the week we went to San Diego temple, Sea World, Downtown Disney, the beach and to some great restaurants.  We had such a great time, and it was a good bonding experience :)

Anyways, an update on us, we are currently living in Chauncey's grandparent's basement apartment. We are both going to school, Chauncey is at the U and I'm at the Business College. He'll be done with school in 2 semesters, and he is thinking about going to Grad school.  I'll be done with my associates degree next semester, but instead of going to the BC, I'll be taking my last class on BYU Independent Study, and taking an Education 1010 Class at SLCC so I can get a better idea of if I want to teach or not. If I do want to teach, I will go to the U and get a degree :) That's the plan for now.

Well, like I said we've been pretty busy with summer school and everything, but I should be in the blogging world more often.

Here's a picture from our Honeymoon :)

P.S. I'm SUPER excited/sad for the midnight showing of Harry Potter!! We are dressing up as Ginny and Harry. Expect a blog post on that in the near future!

Baby it's cold outside.

I have a lot to write about. It's been a crazy couple of weeks! Chauncey and I were able to get a lot done for the wedding, which was nice because I think we were both stressing out a lot. We had the HARDEST time finding a cultural hall that would work with the decorator, but we finally found one this past week! I was so grateful because we had to get our invitations printed out so we could send them out in time, but we finally got it done so all is well. We also registered at Target and Bed Bath &Beyond. I found target a lot more fun to register at, I rode in the cart while Chauncey pushed me around and we just scanned whatever we felt like we needed. At Bed Bath & Beyond they didn't have carts and their scanner was weird and hard to figure out, but they did have way cool stuff. I registered for a red Kitchen-aide at both places and i'm REALLY hoping I get one. That would be so nice, that way i could make homemade bread a lot easier.
We were also able to get our Christmas shopping done, which was good because I was worried about finding gifts that everyone would like. It's a little different when your engaged, we're kinda playing Christmas out like we are already married, his family invited me over to spend the night on Christmas Eve and then open presents with them Christmas Morning. Afterwards, Chauncey and I will go to my parents house and open presents with them. My family doesn't start Christmas until One on the 25th because we don't get our Step Brothers until then. So it all worked out. Anyways, last weekend Chauncey and I went to Temple sq for our date to see the lights, we even got to see the MoTab Christmas concert!! It was magical! I'm not a fan of David Archuleta but it was still really really good. We also started decorating what will be our home! It was great, he lives in his grandparents basement, so it's like an apartment. We cleaned, hung pictures and moved stuff around, it's really starting to look like our own home. I love it! Chauncey also had an interview for an internship yesterday! We are all hoping that he will get it, it'll be a great opportunity if he does. After his interview I took him strait to the airport so he could fly home to Vegas. I don't leave til tomorrow, so I really miss him, but it won't e long until I get to see him, my family and my family-to-be! I can't wait :)

Merry Christmas!

Here are some pictures from our date :)

Give Thanks.

Well, last week we went to Vegas for Thanksgiving. I was really really really grateful that Chauncey's parents paid for both of us to fly down. They are so awesome. It was really fun to see my family, I've been missing them so much. It was also cool because I got to see Clay's parents, and his sister. Which was pretty fun. So first Chauncey came over to my house and we had the first dinner of the day. After a couple hours, we headed to his house and had a second dinner. To say the least, it was very very filling. That was a lot of food for one day. It was cool, because during dinner we talked a little about the temple. I had an epiphany during this, I realized that in two months, a little less actually, I'll be going through the temple for the first time. It's a big deal. So I want to be ready. It was really nice to think about going through the Temple...I won't go into it too much more, but it was a really really awesome epiphany. After we had our two dinners, we all went to Harry Potter. It was AWESOME. I loved it soooo much!! I can't wait until the second part comes out. I spent the night at Chauncey's parents house that night because the next morning we woke up early to get a tree. It was really fun to actually get a real tree. That night we decorated the tree. It was sad since Andrew wasn't there, but we all hung up his ornaments. So that was cool. I went back to my house that night, and I finally got to see Chase, I didn't get to see him at first since he was with Dad for thanksgiving. The next morning Chauncey and I met at the airport and flew home just in time to make it to the Utah VS Byu game. It was a really really intense game, but the U won, so it was all good. Then Chauncey and I went to Sushi to celebrate, then to a dollar movie. It was a good day. This weekend was really awesome, I was sad to see it end. Only a month left until I can see my family and soon to be family again though!! Wow, there is so much to be thankful for :)

Seventy-eight!

That's right! 78 days. I'm excited, but also nervous. We got our engagement pictures back, and they were pretty cute. Then I was able to finally start my invitations. The lady that is doing them is way awesome. We have sent proofs (drafts) back and forth to each other and she's really understanding. Anyways, we still have to figure out a place for a reception up here. No idea where we are going to have it. It's going to be a cultural hall, and we are having it professionally decorated. We just need to decide soon.
Anyways, everything is coming along nicely. This weekend we are going to go look at some hotels ;) wink wink...Just kidding. Anyways, we'll go look at hotels and hopefully cakes. Oh and of course get some Christmas shopping done. Fun times!

NOW...
I would like to talk about one of my bestest friends Megan McHenry!

Us, being our normal selves. :]

Anyways, I love this girl! We met at LDSBC winter semester and we've been inseparable since. She's been there for me when times get rough, we've grown spiritually together, and we've definitely had some laughs. I love how we can hang out for hours, and never run out of things to talk about (or laugh about!!). She has seen my relationship with Chauncey blossom. She has helped with homework. She's there for me when I need her, and I'm there for her. Sometimes we argue like sisters, but it's never for long. I know i can always vent to her, and she can always vent to me. I'm so glad I met you, Megan McHenry. Thanks for all you do!! <3

The Final Countdown

87 Days. When you put it like that it really doesn't seem like a whole lot of time. It's crazy how fast time flies, the first month of our engagement is already gone. It's a good thing we have dug into our wedding planning already. Two weekends ago Chauncey's family and My family came down for Halloween. His Mom, my Mom and I were able to get a lot done! We figured out bridesmaid dresses, invitations, tuxes for the guys and I even got a different wedding dress. Pretty crazy! It felt really good to get everything done. I should be getting the engagement pictures any day now so that'll be good too since it has been stressing me out. There's still a lot to do, but I think we will be able to get it done. I'm really nervous though...The date is starting to creep up on us all too quickly! I'm really grateful for our families though, without them I don't know if I would be able to get everything done.
Oh, and just a little side note, I'm loving Chauncey more each and every day. It's always been like that, but now I'm noticing the little things more. It's really nice :]

Now back to school work, only five weeks or so left in the semester!
